- Alternative Horizons - Alternative Horizons provides support to survivors of domestic violence. They offer criminal court services such as advocacy and court accompaniment. They also offer civil legal assistance on matters such as marriage dissolution and child support.
- Colorado Legal Services - Colorado Legal Services is a non-profit organization that provides free legal help to qualifying low income Coloradans on civil (that is, not criminal) legal challenges, including housing matters, family law, tax matters, obtaining identification documents and more. The office in Durango serves people in La Plata County as well as the Southern Ute Tribal Nation. You call, fill in an online application, or visit the office in person to start the process for help.
- SASO - SASO offers a variety of services of legal reporting and advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault. They have an office in Durango.
- Women's Resource Center - Divorce and custody paperwork packets are available at the office for a small fee. Once a month, a $30 legal consultation with a lawyer is offered on divorce and custody. Contact the Center for details.
